If you are the type of person who thrives on bright lights, the hustle of the town centre don't come here. The hotel is two very small blocks from the 72 street subway, turn left out of the hotel. It took no time at all to get to where ever we go.

It was my first time in New York, third time for my husband but had no idea where to stay. Luckily my father-in-law was also staying at the hotel on business so we decided to join him. We couldn't have found a better hotel.

I am very happy to report that all is well! The new decor is lovely, the staff are very accomodating and helpful, the new windows make the rooms amazingly quiet--even on the third floor!

Unfortunately, the staff doesn't pay attention to any payment details. My credit card was charged three times for our stay - I have traveled the world and have never experienced a problem with getting my 'hold' on my credit card released until this hotel.

We went to bed at 10:00 PM and in less than a minute we heard a banging noise. The sound repeated itself from 2 to 4 times a minute for the next half hour. We then called the desk and complained. The desk told us that they would send up an engineer to investigate the noise.
