Inside the building is a 15-foot vaulted ceiling with a mural of the ninemuses. It was from these murals that the Muse Hotel New York got the inspiration for its name. It offers one of the finest lobbies with its Mahogany-lined structure.
Each of the 200 guest rooms and suites are at least 50-square feet more spacious than most of New York’s hotel rooms. Its jewel-toned accents beautifully complements with the unsophisticated wood furnishings and lighting. Each bed is complete in hypo-allergenic bedding styled in abstract printings.

Muse Hotel New York Customer Reviews:
Excellent:
“Wonderful!”

Our stay at The Muse can be summed up in one word: Wonderful. I will say that for the price we paid (a special rate found through Budget Travel Real Deals, booked directly through the hotel), this was one heck of a deal. The room included a sitting area/desk, balcony with furniture (too cold to enjoy in January, though), king-sized bed, and HUGE bathroom with the largest soaking tub I've ever seen and a nice seperate shower. Our special rate included daily breakfast and a flight of wines at the hotel restaurant, but everyone in the hotel receives complimentary coffee/tea in the morning, hot chocolate in the afternoon, and wine in the evening. Most of the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Our room was clean and quiet. The location was great and felt really safe.
“My favorite hotel in New York”

This was already my second stay in this hotel and I really enjoyed it. The rooms are quite big (especially for a hotel in New York) and very modern furnished, nice bathrooms. Great breakfast in the newly refurbished restaurant, where we also had cocktails in the evening. Very friendly staff, very attentive and helpful, I will definitely come back for my next trip. Excellent Value!
“Great Service and Quiet in the middle of Times Square.”

Our family of 4 stayed at The Muse from Dec. 25-28th. This hotel is a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. It is quietly situated on W. 46th St. We were in a suite on the 16th floor--never heard a sound. The rooms were very clean and the suite had a king-sized bed and a flat screen one in the bedroom and one in the parlor. Great big windows and it was spacious enough for 4 to be comfortable. The pull out couch was the only negative. Standard double pull-out. Only thing that made it comfy was the down comforter and plushy pillows. Afternoons included hot chocolate, apple cider and a wine hour. Service was key--we called for a bellman and forgot we left the do not disturb sign on the door. The bellman did not knock instead had the front desk call the room. Also, one day it stormed all day. We were provided with two umbrella's which came in quite handy. It was a very comfortable hotel. Close to a lot of the touristy things: Times Square, Rock Center and Radio Center. It would a great place for a romantic get away.

“No hygiene”

I would have been grateful for a standard hotel as long as it was clean. However, they failed miserably to maintain the hygiene at this place. Upon our arrival, I found dried blood on the pillow and the towels had been turned grey and crusty. The funny part was that they took away my own towel as well.
I could have over looked all of these but the bed was the final straw! We both had a very difficult time to sleep due to the completely worn mattress. All of the springs had gone and the mattress provided no support to our backs with the result that we constantly had back pain during our stay. On top of all that, the bed was infested by some sort of bug because we were itching severely at night. Although the sheets were changed, the problem persisted implying that the mattress was source of the infestation.
“Don't Stay Here if You Value Good Service”

The hotel itself is nice - the rooms are a good size, the lobby is contemporary and nicely decorated. However, that only gets you so far. As soon as I interacted with the front desk staff, my opinion was entirely changed. I've never before met such an unhelpful group of people who work in a customer service role. I had just flown in from London and had trouble checking in - the manager's response was 'there's nothing I can do'.....only to find that, after three hours on the rainy streets, she just hadn't given me all of the options available to solve my problem. I totally regret it.
